Pathways to Decent Work in the Digitally Enabled Care Economy in Southeast Asia

The Hub on Global Experiences of Gender in an Age of Care Crises and Transformation is excited to announce a talk by Hub member Cecilia Tinonin a Gender Statistics Specialist at the UN Women Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific.

In her role, Cecilia supports implementing UN Women’s flagship program in gender statistics with data expertise in care work, women’s economic empowerment, and women and technology. She represents UN Women in global mechanisms for the revision of guidelines on Time-Use Surveys and statistical standards on Informality. In her previous capacities, she served the Labour Force Methodology Unit at the ILO, the Office of the Secretary-General of UNCTAD, Office of Director-General of UNESCO, and IFPRI. She holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics and Statistics with distinction from University of Bologna, visiting positions at University of Oxford and Jawaharlal Nehru University.

 

The talk will be chaired by the Hub's Co-investigator Man -Yee Kan.
