"You, Too, Can Breastfeed" by Katerina Limpenopoulous

Hub member Katerina Limenopoulou would like to share news of her short story, "You, Too, Can Breastfeed," that was recently selected as a finalist for the 57th New Millenium Writings Award. New Millennium Writing Awards 57 | 2024 | New Millennium Writings

Katerina writes: Although my work is fictional, it deeply resonates with the Hub's focus on gendered inequalities in care. The story highlights the pressures modern women face in nurturing roles and how technological advances, rather than alleviating these pressures, often exacerbate them. It speaks to the experiences of breastfeeding mothers and women carers who set ambitious goals and subject themselves to intense self-criticism.
